Understanding the BCA Entrance Exam
The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) entrance exam tests your knowledge in Mathematics, English, and basic Computer Science. Most Tribhuvan University affiliated colleges conduct their own entrance exams, but the syllabus is generally consistent.
Key Subjects to Focus On
- Mathematics: Algebra, Trigonometry, Sets and Functions, Coordinate Geometry
- English: Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension
- Computer Basics: Number systems, Hardware components, Basic programming concepts
- General Knowledge: Current affairs, Nepal-specific topics
Study Plan
Start preparing at least 3 months before the exam. Spend 2 hours daily — one hour on Mathematics and the remaining time split between English and Computer Science. Take mock tests every weekend to track your progress.

Consistency is more important than cramming. Study a little every day and you will be surprised how much you retain.
Tips on Exam Day
Read all questions carefully before answering. Start with the sections you are most confident in. Do not spend more than 1.5 minutes on any single question — move on and come back later if time permits.
